canvas 36x24inches. This pond lies at the edge of the Wild Garden. It is impossible to set up an easel here because the ground is so boggy, so I just made a sketchbook painting. This large work was painted from that study. I love the view across the land towards the distant hills - in this light they were the most beautiful blue.
